My partner and I left a family office in 2023 and out of necessity started Third Brick. We intended to be an independent sponsor, but quickly received accommodating financing to create a holding company. We call ourselves a special situations holding company, which may be a euphemism for - we don’t know what we are doing, but we like to think we find assets that have incentives problems not business problems. Our companies range from a category defining memorial diamond business to a 100mm ton reserve quarry. The only common thread is all are headquartered in Texas. 

I have the most amazing wife and 2 year old daughter. We live in a town called Boerne, which looks like a Hallmark movie. Most of my family lives within a 10 min drive and we spend a lot of time in nature at our ranch nearby.
